Privacy Policy
How Klepha collects, uses, and protects your information.
Klepha ("we", "us") provides an AI search visibility platform that measures and improves how websites appear in AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it. It applies to klepha.com and the Klepha application.
What we collect
- Account data. Your email address and a salted, one-way hash of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Site data. The website domains you add, publicly available content we crawl from those sites (pages, titles, metadata, structured data), and the competitor domains you ask us to analyze.
- Scan data. The prompts run against AI engines on your behalf, the answers those engines return, and derived metrics (mentions, citations, scores).
- Usage data. Token counts, per-call costs, and credit balances associated with your account.
- Cookies. A single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Google user data
If you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access (webmasters.readonly scope) to display your indexing, query, click, and impression data inside Klepha. We store the OAuth tokens needed to maintain that connection and cache the retrieved metrics briefly for performance. We do not share, sell, or transfer Google user data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Klepha's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from the Integrations page, which deletes the stored tokens, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions.
How we use data
- To run the service: crawling the sites you add, querying AI engines with your prompt set, computing scores, and generating recommendations.
- To meter usage and maintain your credit balance.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Third-party processors
To produce your results, we send your prompts (and site context you provide) to the AI providers you have enabled — OpenAI, Google, and Perplexity — under their respective API terms. Our infrastructure runs on servers operated by our hosting providers. These parties process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data (sites, crawls, scans, usage history, and any stored Google tokens), email support@klepha.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel using key-based authentication.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date.

Common questions
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Data is processed to run the service you asked for — crawling the sites you add, querying the AI engines you enable, and storing the results in your account.
Where is my data stored?
Account data, scan history and generated content are stored on our own infrastructure. Prompts and the site context needed to answer them are sent to the AI providers you enable, and their handling is governed by their own terms.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email support@klepha.com and ask for deletion. We remove your account data, scan history and generated content.
Do you use cookies?
Only what the application needs to keep you signed in and working. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on klepha.com.
Do you crawl websites I do not own?
Klepha crawls the site you designate and publicly available competitor pages for comparison, respecting robots directives. You are responsible for having a legitimate interest in the sites you add.
