Solution · ChatGPT Ranking

Get named when the
answer is written.

Your buyer asks ChatGPT which tool to use. It names three companies. There is no position eleven, no second page, no scrolling — you are either in the answer or you are not in the conversation.

Why this matters now

There is no page two in an answer

A search results page gives ten brands a chance. A generated answer usually gives three. When an assistant writes "the main options are A, B and C", the shortlist has been made before your prospect ever visits a website — and it was made from whatever the model could find and trust about your category.

That changes what optimisation means. You are no longer competing for a rank; you are competing to be the source a model quotes. The inputs are different: how completely a page answers one question, how quotable its claims are, how consistently third-party sources describe you, and whether the engine's crawler can read your site at all.

Most companies have never checked. They do not know which prompts mention them, which competitor is named as the default choice, or that an engine is confidently stating their pricing wrong. That is the first thing Klepha shows you.

What a scan returns
  • The full answer text for every tracked prompt, stored per engine and per run.
  • Brand mentions — were you named at all, and in what position within the answer.
  • Citations — which URLs the engine used, yours and everyone else's.
  • Competitor appearances — who is winning the prompts you care about.
  • Share of voice — your slice of the answer space across the whole prompt set.
  • Token cost per scan, so the spend is never a mystery.
How it works

Four steps into the answer

1

Build the prompt set

Klepha crawls your site, works out what you actually do, and generates the questions a real buyer would ask an assistant about your category. Edit them, add your own — up to 20 on Starter, 60 on Growth.

2

Scan the engines for real

Every prompt runs against ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Answers, mentions, citations and competitors are recorded per run so you can see trends rather than a single lucky response.

3

Fix what blocks the citation

The technical GEO audit finds the mechanical reasons you are unquotable, and the action plan turns each missing answer into a page to publish — drafted for you, structured to be lifted.

4

Rescan and watch the score

Weekly on Starter, daily on Growth. Engines re-read authoritative pages on their own cycle, so the visibility score is a trend line you steer, not a one-off verdict.

The audit

What makes a page quotable

Every item below is checked automatically against your site, ranked by severity, with the fix spelled out.

  • Reachable content — the answer exists in server-rendered HTML, not only after JavaScript an AI crawler may never run.
  • One question per page — a complete, self-contained answer beats a paragraph buried in a catch-all page.
  • Explicit, specific claims — numbers, comparisons and verdicts a model can quote without inventing anything.
  • Structured data that matches — Organization, Product, FAQPage and Article JSON-LD mirroring the visible text exactly.
  • Entity clarity — who you are, what category you are in, and which alternatives you compete with, stated plainly somewhere crawlable.
  • Corroboration — third-party pages describing you consistently, because a single self-published claim carries little weight.
  • Freshness signals — dated, maintained pages, since assistants prefer sources that look current.

Coverage

Three engines, one score

Each answers differently — and being strong in one tells you nothing about the others.

ChatGPT

The default assistant for most buyers. Leans on well-structured, authoritative pages and consistent third-party descriptions of a brand. Absence here is the most expensive kind.

Gemini

Tied closely to Google's view of the web, so classic SEO strength carries over — but structure and clarity still decide whether you make the shortlist inside the answer.

Perplexity

The most citation-hungry of the three: it names its sources openly, which makes it the fastest place to see whether your new pages are being picked up.

FAQ

ChatGPT ranking questions

Can you actually rank in ChatGPT?

Not in the sense of a numbered position — there is no results page. What you can influence is whether an assistant names your brand and cites your pages when it answers a question in your category. That depends on what exists about you on the open web, how quotable it is, and how consistently other sources describe you. Klepha measures that as a visibility score per prompt and tells you what is suppressing it.

How does Klepha measure AI visibility?

It runs your tracked prompts against ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity through their APIs on a schedule, then records the full answer, whether your brand was mentioned, which sources were cited, which competitors appeared and how much of the answer space you own. Every score traces back to a stored, real response — nothing is estimated.

How often should I rescan?

Weekly is enough for most sites and is included from the Starter plan; Growth runs daily. Answers vary between runs even for the same prompt, so a trend over several scans is far more meaningful than a single result — which is exactly why the history is kept per prompt.

What actually makes an AI engine cite my site?

In practice: a page that answers the specific question completely, states something concrete enough to quote, is structured with clear headings and schema, is reachable by the engine's crawler, and is corroborated by other sources describing you the same way. Vague brand pages get skipped; specific, verifiable answers get lifted.

What if ChatGPT says something wrong about my company?

That is one of the most common findings — wrong pricing, an outdated feature list, a competitor named as the leader in your own category. The fix is to publish the corrected fact on a structured, authoritative page of your own and make sure the engines can read it. Klepha flags the incorrect claim, shows which prompts produce it, and generates the correction page.

Is GEO different from SEO?

It shares the foundation — crawlable pages, clear structure, genuine expertise — but the target and the measurement differ. SEO chases positions on a results page; GEO chases being named and cited inside a generated answer, where there is no page two. Most teams need both, which is why Klepha reports Search Console data and prompt visibility side by side.
